About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN License Required Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS required; CNOR preferred Must-Have: Must live 100 miles away. Four 10-hour shifts from 0630 to 1700. Seven call shifts for a six-week period. Three weekend and four weekday shifts. Description: The operating room nurse is responsible for scrubbing and/or circulating duties for operative procedures. This role includes department admissions to the operative suite. Adheres to standards and appropriate aseptic techniques. Consults and coordinates with team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care plans. Serves as a communication liaison to patients, families, and members of the operating team. Prepares the operating room for the patient and surgical procedure. Assembles equipment, supplies, and ensures equipment is functional, along with the availability of supplies and implants.
