Progressive Care Unit Registered NurseGreat Falls, MontanaCompensation: $95,000 to $105,000 per yearThis regional healthcare system is hiring a full time Registered Nurse for its Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Stepdown). The unit cares for hemodynamically stable and predictably unstable patients on an advanced medical/surgical and stepdown service, with strong nurse to patient ratios and administrative support for clinical staff.Schedule: Full time, on site, day shift.Compensation: $95,000 to $105,000 per year, based on job classification, internal equity, specialized skills, and verified years of experience.What You'll Do: This RN will provide direct nursing care to a broad stepdown population, including pre and post PCI patients, pacemaker placements, revascularization, carotid endarterectomy, thoracotomy, CHF, COPD, DKA, sepsis, and complex surgical cases. Daily responsibilities include ongoing assessment to recognize and stabilize deteriorating conditions, along with managing arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, multiple titration IV pumps, and short term ventilatory support. This nurse will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams from admission through discharge planning, and will serve as a clinical resource on the floor, precepting new staff and providing direction to LPNs, CNAs, and ancillary team members.Required Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing)Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Montana, or immediate eligibility for compact/endorsement licensureCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, or obtained within 6 months of hireClinical experience in an advanced Medical/Surgical unit combined with recent Critical Care (ICU) or Progressive Care (PCU/Stepdown) experienceProficiency in cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretationPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certificationPediatric nursing experienceCompensation and Benefits:$95,000 to $105,000 per year, based on experienceFull medical, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement savings plan with employer matching contributionFully covered medical malpractice insuranceGenerous paid time off (PTO)Employment contingent on standard pre employment screening, including background check, drug screening, and immunization verificationTo apply, submit your resume and current RN license information for review.
