Job Overview

Under the guidance of the Medical Director of Cardiopulmonary Services and the Department Director, the Respiratory Therapist is responsible for delivering direct patient care across all facets of respiratory treatment, adhering to physician directives and established protocols while considering the patient's age. This role involves providing respiratory support and life-saving interventions for individuals experiencing issues within the cardiopulmonary system. Key clinical responsibilities include:

• Establishing and overseeing mechanical ventilation.
• Providing emergency care as needed.
• Assisting in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and intubation procedures.
• Monitoring patients' physiological responses to treatments.
• Educating patients and their families regarding their health conditions.
• Instructing on effective disease management strategies.

Sign-On Bonuses:

• $20,000 for Respiratory Therapists with less than one year of experience.
• $30,000 for Respiratory Therapists with over one year of experience.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Completion of an accredited associate's degree program in respiratory therapy.

Motor Vehicle Operator Designation:

Individuals in this role:

• Will not be required to operate vehicles for business-related purposes.

Note: A frequent driver is defined as someone who uses their personal vehicle for work at least once daily, makes a minimum of five trips per week, or drives an average of over 150 miles weekly in the course of their job. Please specify the appropriate operator designation on the Request for Personnel (RFP) form when submitting a request to post this position.

Must hold a valid license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in the State of Florida.
