Qualifications

The following, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this position:


Education/formal training/licenser/certification/experience:


High school graduate (or equivalent). Understanding of medical terminology. Two years' experience in a medical-related field preferred.


Additional Skills:


Strong verbal communication skills. Effectively able to manage multiple tasks in an organized manner. Must be able to type 35 wpm and be computer literate. The candidate/employee must be committed to excellent customer service when dealing with all types of patients, internal and external.


Working Conditions/Physical Demand


Primary office environment/workstation. Potential exposure to communicable disease.

1. Stooping: Bending the body downward and forward by bending the spine at the waist.
2. Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending the legs and the spine
3. Standing, walking and sitting for extended periods of time
4. Medium physical effort is required in lifting up to 40 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
