We are a family-owned restaurant specializing in authentic Mediterranean and Italian-inspired dishes, committed to delivering fresh, flavorful meals to our guests. We’re looking for a skilled Cook with a passion for high-quality food and attention to detail to join our kitchen team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and portion ingredients according to restaurant recipes and standards.
- Assist chefs with basic cooking tasks (sauces, marinades, chopping, slicing, marinating).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep station and kitchen areas.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Ensure prep is completed on time for service.
- Assist with inventory checks and proper storage of ingredients.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a prep cook or similar role, preferably in Italian or Mediterranean cuisine.
- Knowledge of knife skills and basic cooking techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong sense of teamwork and communication.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Food Safety Certification (preferred but not required).
