Company Description Medlin Treatment Center is an established outpatient counseling center in metro Atlanta, founded in 1997 by Dr. Julie Medlin. Over nearly three decades, the center has become a trusted provider of mental health and forensic psychological services for children, adolescents, and adults. Services include psychological evaluations, forensic evaluations, psychosexual evaluations, sexual trauma evaluations, and individual, marital, family, and group therapy, supported by a diverse multidisciplinary team of licensed psychologists, social workers, family therapists, and professional counselors. In addition to general psychological care, Medlin Treatment Center specializes in evaluation and treatment for individuals affected by sexual abuse and sexual behavior problems. A highly specialized forensic team conducts forensic psychological evaluations for legal cases nationwide that involve sexual trauma, sexual behavior problems, and/or sexual offending. Role Description We are looking for a forensic psychologist to join our Forensic Team. The Forensic Psychologist position involves conducting comprehensive forensic psychological evaluations for civil and criminal legal cases, including risk assessments, psychosexual evaluations, and sexual trauma evaluations. Daily responsibilities include reviewing case records, interviewing clients and collateral sources, administering and interpreting psychological tests, and preparing clear, evidence-based written reports for courts, attorneys, and agencies. The Forensic Psychologist will collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary forensic team, provide expert consultation, and may offer courtroom testimony and professional presentations when needed. Additional duties may include participation in case conferences, ongoing professional development, and contributions to clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives. This position can be fully virtual, hybrid, or on location in our office in Marietta, Georgia. This is a contractor position which allows the psychologist to set their own schedule. Qualifications Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in psychology from an accredited program and current licensure as a psychologist. Licensure in GA is required if seeking to work in our Georgia office. Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology is required (unless only interested in working in our Georgia office) Strong foundation in Psychology and Forensic Psychology, with the ability to integrate clinical and legal frameworks. Demonstrated proficiency in Forensic Analysis, including case review, evidence synthesis, and report writing for legal audiences. Advanced skills in Psychological Assessment, including test selection, administration, scoring, and interpretation for forensic and clinical purposes. Prior experience conducting forensic, sexual trauma, or psychosexual evaluations, or strong interest and training in forensic practice. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in drafting structured, objective, and defensible reports. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and to manage multiple complex cases with attention to deadlines and detail. Commitment to ethical practice, trauma-informed care, and culturally responsive services for diverse populations.
