Job Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for a PCU/MedSurg/Tele nurse on the night shift. This role includes every other weekend rotation and requires the capability to work independently while performing charge nurse duties. The position will also involve floating to other units as needed, including the Emergency Department (ED) and Maternal and Child Health (MCH).

Location

This position is located in Newport, Vermont, a charming community situated on the Canadian border, known as part of the beautiful Northeast Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a PCU/MedSurg/Tele setting.
• Perform charge nurse duties and oversee nursing staff as required.
• Float to other units (ED, MCH) based on patient care needs.
• Engage in effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Attend department quarterly education sessions for professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience in PCU, MedSurg, or Telemetry nursing preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage a team effectively.
• Strong clinical skills and critical thinking abilities.
• Flexibility to adapt to varying unit needs.
