With more than 295 offices and 5,500 employees globally, Savino Del Bene is one of the leading logistics companies that offers import, export, customs brokerage services, and warehousing third-party solutions servicing several Vertical Markets. We are currently seeking a strong Import Manager to join our growing team.

Essential Job Functions

• Lead and manage the Import team with strong leadership skills and mentorship
\n
• Must have a better-than-average understanding of the Export Regulations or other government agency regulations that govern exports.
\n
• Collaborate closely with staff to coordinate account activities
\n
• Provide proper guidance and coaching to teams
\n
• Deliver results by leveraging the skills of the right people at the right time
\n
• Lead resolution of difficult issues through effective negotiation tactics
\n
• Manage communication strategy within accounts
\n
• Maintain a high degree of motivation in team members to retain the focus of providing the highest levels of customer satisfaction
\n
• Provide ongoing growth and development opportunities for team members
\n
• Proactively manage the account by constantly assessing changes to the business and their impact to the Company
\n
• Identity all potential risks and develop a mitigation plan
\n
• Escalate any unresolved issues or risks before they materially impact the Company
\n
• Work closely with other departments to deliver a high level of service to customers
\n
• Effectively manage any issues that do arise
\n
• Develop relevant internal and external metrics to measure performance
\n

Qualifications Needed:

\n
• High School Diploma or GED required.
\n
• Minimum five years of related experience in freight forwarding.
\n
• Minimum three years of supervisory or managerial experience required.
\n
• Knowledge of incoterms
\n
• Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills; along with math skills for dimension conversions
\n
• Intermediate to Advanced PC skills - MS Office
\n
• Highly organized
\n
• Professional and courteous demeanor
\n
• Displays a flexible and open-minded willingness to adapt to new environments and be a team player
\n
• Must have good ethical standards
