Assistant Administrator Specialty Services (Mental Health)

STGi is currently seeking an Assistant Administrator Specialty Services to provide services at the Georgia War Veterans Home.

The primary purpose of this position is to assist in directing the day-to-day functions of the facility in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern nursing facilities and as directed by the Administrator to assure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. This position will oversee the specialty services programs, the Mental Health Support Unit, Memory Support Unit, and Transitional Support Unit.

Essential functions include overseeing compliance with regulatory guidance, managing day-to-day operations, assisting in recruiting and onboarding new staff, developing written job descriptions, coordinating with infection prevention, and ensuring sufficient nursing staff with appropriate competencies. The role also involves scheduling work hours, investigating complaints, consulting with department directors, ensuring safety and compliance, and managing supplies and equipment.

Required experience and skills include two years of supervisory experience in a hospital or nursing facility, knowledge of nursing facility operational standards, one year of experience supervising mental/behavioral health patients, and a current and unencumbered Nursing Facility Administrator license in the State of Georgia. An associate or bachelor's degree in business or health administration or related field is required.
