Control Systems Lead

Location: Louisiana

Employment: Permanent

Compensation: Strong senior-level package reflecting leadership scope and experience

Please read the following job description thoroughly to ensure you are the right fit for this role before applying.

Lead a High-Performing Technical Team

This is a genuine people leadership opportunity - not simply the next technical step for a Senior Control Systems Engineer. Lead an accomplished controls team, develop high performers and shape how critical control systems capability supports a major industrial operation.

Package / Benefits

  • Strong base package reflecting the seniority and scope of the position
  • Opportunity to lead an established, highly capable technical team
  • Significant focus on leadership, coaching and career development
  • Long-term permanent opportunity within a substantial industrial organisation

Why This Business

Join an established industrial organisation operating a technically sophisticated manufacturing environment. The business has invested in building a capable, well-equipped controls function and is looking for a leader who can combine strong technical credibility with genuine people leadership.

This is an opportunity to inherit a high-performing team and make an impact through development, engagement and effective technical leadership.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead a team of high-performing Control Systems professionals, providing clear direction while maintaining engagement and accountability.
  • Develop individual capability through coaching, career planning and meaningful professional development.
  • Build strong relationships across the team, creating an environment where talented technical employees can continue to grow.
  • Provide leadership and technical oversight across critical Control Systems activities supporting site performance.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven people management or supervisory experience within Control Systems, automation or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • Demonstrable success leading and developing technical professionals , rather than technical leadership alone.
  • Strong Control Systems expertise and the credibility to lead experienced, high-achieving engineers.
  • Evidence of building engagement, developing careers and getting the best from capable technical teams.

Who This Suits

You're an established engineering leader who still has strong technical credibility but measures success through the performance and development of your people. You know that leading high performers requires more than allocating work - you build relationships, understand individual ambitions and create opportunities for talented people to progress. xhyhwjd
