Project EngineerImmediate need for a talented Project Engineer. This is a 24+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Gonzales, LA (Onsite).Key Responsibilities:Conduct Safety Kickoff Meeting with contractors and operations team prior to start of project executionConfirm contractor is aware of and follows all AP Safety StandardsClearly communicate safety goals – 0 Recordables, 0 First AidsComplete short-term contractor BSP forms daily during execution of projectComplete JSA reviews and fill out JSA Review form daily during execution of projectParticipate in the Safe Work Permit issuance process with the operations teamLead daily morning safety / toolbox meetings with all craftsReport all incidents immediatelyEnsure all contractors on site for project execution have submitted an Emergency Action Plan prior to mobilizationParticipate in Safety Sampling and Critical Safety Audits during outagesAttend and contribute to monthly Safety MeetingsLead assigned capital projects (standalone projects and projects within plant outages) and manage all engineering, design, and construction resourcesDevelop estimates, funding documents, schedule, and ongoing forecasts for plant executed projects within SAPEnsure all projects receive adequate process hazard reviews and ORI's and that all recommendations are completed in a timely mannerEnsure inherent process safety is adhered to on all project designsProvide field supervision / support during projects executionManage Project SafetyMaintain projects on budget and scheduleEnsure all projects meet the operability needs of the customerBasic understanding of operating plant environment.Understands quality standards as outlined by Client.Key Requirements and Technology Experience:Strong organizational and planning skillsStrong leadership abilitiesManufacturing plant operations, maintenance, and capital projects experienceHigh ethical standards - unwilling to compromise on worker safety and regulatory compliance requirementsOrganizational credibility - able to influence business area, engineering and manufacturing managers in decision making process0-20 years' experience in maintenance and/or engineering disciplinesTechnical degree (chemical engineering, mechanical or electrical engineering REQUIREDObtain TWIC, Security passport and pass refinery background checks-TWIC card has to be current and valid for completion of project.Willing to work a wide variety of scheduled days and hours, following strict fatigue management guidelines.
