Job Title: Landscaper / GroundskeeperPosition Summary

The Landscaper/Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the appearance, health, and cleanliness of residential and commercial landscapes. This position performs a variety of landscaping and grounds maintenance tasks, ensuring properties remain safe, attractive, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Mow, edge, trim, and maintain lawns.
• Prune trees, shrubs, hedges, and ornamental plants.
• Plant flowers, shrubs, trees, sod, and other landscaping materials.
• Remove weeds, leaves, debris, and litter from properties.
• Operate landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, and other power tools safely.
• Install mulch, rock, bark, and other landscape materials.
• Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides according to company policies and applicable regulations.
• Assist with landscape construction projects, including grading, planting, drainage, and hardscape installation.
• Load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and materials.
• Maintain equipment by cleaning, inspecting, and reporting repair needs.
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Provide courteous and professional customer service when interacting with clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous landscaping or grounds maintenance experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment and power tools.
• Basic knowledge of landscape maintenance practices is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Valid driver's license, with clean DMV report.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach.

Work Environment

• Outdoor work in residential and commercial settings.
• Exposure to dust, noise, pollen, chemicals, uneven terrain, and changing weather conditions.
• Early morning start times and occasional overtime may be required during peak seasons.
