MICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced critical care environment. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to manage complex patient needs and demonstrate proficiency in critical care nursing practices.

Shift Details

• Shift: 4x12 Nights (19:00 - 07:00)
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend

Job Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with a range of critical conditions, including but not limited to:
• Sepsis
• ARDS
• Renal failure
• Heart failure
• Pre-VAD workups
• Alcohol withdrawal
• Overdose
• Multi-organ failure
• Post-cardiac arrest/targeted temperature management
• Respiratory failure/shock
• Administer CRRT, EKOS, IABP, ECMO, and Impella therapies as needed.
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, with occasional 1:1 based on patient acuity.
• Utilize EPIC for patient charting and documentation.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid nursing license in New York.
• Experience in critical care nursing is required, preferably in a MICU setting.
• EPIC experience is mandatory.
• Must be located more than 75 miles from the facility; local applicants will not be accepted.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
