We are hiring a Senior Manager Business Sustainability. Reporting to the Deputy Chief Sustainability Officer this position is critical to the long-term success of Nouryons sustainability strategy and business growth

In your future role as Senior Manager Business Sustainability you will

Purpose:

To help our businesses grow by turning sustainability into practical commercial opportunities. The role supports business teams in creating customer value driving innovation and strengthening competitiveness while building the capabilities tools and expertise needed to embed sustainability into everyday business decisions

Accountability

• Grow revenue and margin through tailored customer sustainability programs that establish Nouryon as the preferred supplier

• Quantify and monetize the sustainability value of Nouryons products through customer value propositions substantiated with data on product carbon footprints bio-based content and biodegradability

• Equip commercial teams to win with sustainability by driving customer engagement building strategic partnerships and defending value-based pricing

• Embed sustainability into strategy innovation and portfolio decisions with R&D Procurement Marketing and Carbon Business Strategy

• Lead Nouryons Sustainability Network to drive aligned execution across businesses

• Deliver a global Portfolio Sustainability Assessment with a business case and methodology aligned to recognized frameworks to prioritize portfolio growth

• Monitor market competitor and sustainability developments and turn them into commercial opportunities and strategic recommendations for the business.

• Represent Nouryon with customers suppliers and external stakeholders supported by customer-facing materials and sales enablement tools

• Build the training tools and guidance that enable commercial and business teams to apply sustainability in everyday decisions

• Contribute to Nouryons Sustainability Report and external disclosures

• Own measurable commercial outcomes such as growth in revenue from sustainability-differentiated products adoption of value propositions by commercial teams and new strategic customer partnerships

We believe you bring

Experience and Business Leadership

• 10 years of professional experience with a track record of delivering business results through sustainability commercial strategy innovation or related leadership roles.
• Demonstrated success translating sustainability into customer value business growth competitive differentiation and stronger market positioning.
• Experience partnering with commercial marketing innovation procurement and business leadership teams to embed sustainability into business strategy and decision-making.

Sustainability and Market Expertise

• Credible fluency in sustainability topics relevant to customers products and value chains including climate circularity responsible sourcing water waste and emerging market expectations.

• Familiarity with sustainability methodologies certifications and frameworks used to support customer requirements and sustainable product offerings such as product carbon footprints (PCFs) mass balance ISCC PLUS RSPO

• Familiarity with sustainability regulations and frameworks affecting products customers and supply chains: CBAM EUDR green claims and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)

Strategic and Commercial Capabilities

• Strong business acumen with the ability to identify market opportunities influence strategy and support profitable growth.
• Ability to translate complex sustainability topics into practical business insights customer value propositions and compelling commercial narratives.
• Experience building business cases and quantifying customer value including value-based pricing or selling

Leadership and Collaboration

• Collaborative and influential leader who builds strong relationships across functions businesses geographies and external stakeholders.
• Excellent communication presentation and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence senior leaders customers and partners.
• Self-starter with strong judgment prioritization and execution skills in a fast-paced global environment.

Chemical industry experience preferred.

Education

• Bachelors or university Degree
