Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Telemetry unit with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Monitor and manage generalized cardiac patients ranging from young adults to elderly adults, including common diagnoses such as chest pain, A-fib, CHF, and pre/post care for cardiac catheterizations (groin and radial) and VATS
• Operate cardiac monitoring and patient care equipment including LifePak, Zoll, and Masimo devices
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health record system
• Occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units as needed to support staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of Telemetry or Cardiac nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Proficiency with LifePak, Zoll, and Masimo equipment
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (minimum required education)
• Must reside 60 or more miles from facility to qualify for travel rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner electronic health record system
• Background in cardiac catheterization pre/post care and VATS patient management
