Position:  Facilities Maintenance

Shift:  Monday - Friday, 1st Shift

Location:  149 Mercy Blvd, Mt Orab, OH 45154

Reports To:  Operations Director

Position Summary

The Part-Time Facilities Maintenance employee assists with the general upkeep, cleanliness, safety, and minor maintenance needs of the Mt. Orab facility, grounds, vehicles, and equipment. This position is intended for routine maintenance and basic repairs and knowledge of construction, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine building and grounds maintenance.
• Complete minor repairs, painting, landscaping, and general upkeep.
• Assist with basic plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and carpentry tasks within the employee's knowledge and ability.
• Conduct basic inspections of the facility, grounds, vehicles, and equipment and report concerns to the Operations Director.
• Assist with routine vehicle and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly facility.
• Respond to routine maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Maintain basic maintenance and service records.
• Maintain an inventory of commonly used maintenance supplies and report items that need to be replaced.
• Assist with coordinating outside vendors or contractors when requested.
• Follow all safety procedures and organizational policies.
• Attend required meetings and training.
• Perform other routine maintenance duties as assigned by the Operations Director.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous general maintenance or handyman experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
• Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to perform minor repairs and identify when a repair requires a qualified professional.
• Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and climb ladders.
• Ability to perform basic manual labor for extended periods.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely operate basic maintenance tools and equipment.
