Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC / PCU / Step-Down

Location

Lubbock, TX

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (3×12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Step-Down / Intermediate Care unit within a short-term acute care facility
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips as a core clinical requirement of the role
• Maintain a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio in accordance with unit standards
• Float between units as needed to support staffing and patient care continuity
• Adhere to unit dress code and all facility compliance requirements throughout the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a Step-Down, IMC, or PCU setting
• Demonstrated proficiency in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips (hard stop requirement – candidates without this skill will not be considered)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Ability to commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify under travel guidelines

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center environment
• Familiarity with acute care settings of similar size and scope
• Flexibility to float between sister facilities within the health system as needed
