Role Description  

The Aerospace Painter is a full-time, on-site role based in Pensacola, FL. This position is responsible for preparing, masking, and painting aerospace components and assemblies in accordance with technical drawings, specifications, and industry standards.

• Daily tasks include surface preparation (cleaning, sanding, and degreasing), mixing and applying primers, topcoats, and specialty coatings, and ensuring proper curing and finish quality.
• The role also involves inspecting completed work, performing touch-ups, and documenting work in line with quality and safety requirements.
• The Aerospace Painter works closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to maintain high standards of workmanship and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience with aerospace or industrial painting processes, including surface preparation, masking, and application of primers and topcoats.
• Knowledge of spray equipment operation, basic maintenance of painting tools, and safe handling of paints, solvents, and related materials.
• Understanding of technical drawings, work instructions, and specifications, with attention to detail and quality standards.
• Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including the use of PPE and safe work practices in a paint shop environment.
• Ability to work on-site full time in Pensacola, FL, including standing for extended periods and handling physically demanding tasks.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with production, quality, and engineering colleagues.
• Prior experience in aerospace manufacturing, MRO, or a similar precision industry is highly beneficial.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in industrial or aerospace painting is an advantage.
