The nurse will be responsible for managing a patient ratio of 1:4-5. Experience in starting and maintaining IVs is required. Candidates should have familiarity with total joint replacement procedures. The position involves working with patients post-operative, assisting with mobility precautions and specialized care. Knowledge of interpretation and management of dysrhythmias is essential. Phlebotomy experience is preferred. The nurse will engage in patient education and care coordination. Floating within the service line is expected based on facility needs. Weekend shifts will be required every other week. Candidates should be comfortable in a high turnover environment with a diverse caseload. All travel nurses must pass an EKG exam. This role involves working with a variety of orthopedic conditions such as knees, hips, and trauma cases. Experience in a Level-I trauma setting is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate effective teamwork and communication skills. A commitment to patient-centered care is crucial.
