25-26 Speech Language Pathologist (FT/PT available- Step + $5,000 (598-753)

Responsibilities Provide consultation to classroom teachers on the development of language. Assist teachers and teacher aides in developing language‑based classroom activities. Assist parents in learning ways to increase language stimulation in the home. Provide individual services to children considered to have speech and/or language disabilities. Assess needs in the area of speech, language, and hearing and prepare diagnostic reports. Serve as a member of a team that will develop an individual education program for each pupil enrolled. Complete other duties as required by the Special Education Administrator. Qualifications Hold an appropriate Rhode Island certificate by date of hire (Rhode Island offers reciprocity with over 30 states). Experience with children is preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred. Certification(s) in relevant field, including CPI certification.
