Job Summary The Merchandise Manager (part time) is the direct link between the artist’s representatives and the venue, overseeing the successful operation of on‑site artist/tour merchandise outlets. The role requires leading a highly motivated team of merchandise specialists, managing inventory, fulfilling guest orders, and ensuring showroom standards are met while supporting the artist’s interests and venue policies. Job Title Merchandise Manager (part time) Job Description As the point of contact among Artist/Tour Representative(s), Venue Management, and Merchandise Specialists, the Merchandise Manager ensures an exceptional merchandise purchasing experience for guests. Responsibilities include coordinating product lines, scheduling staff, managing inventory, training and motivating the team, maintaining clean and presentable merchandise stands, and completing required pre‑show, post‑show, and payroll reports. Objectives of the Role Serve as a liaison among Artist/Tour Representative(s), Venue Management, and Merchandise Specialists team. Oversee team of Merchandise Specialists to ensure an exceptional merchandise purchasing experience for all guests and fans in Live Nation venues. Act as a brand ambassador for Live Nation, its local sponsors, and the venue. Duties & Responsibilities Communicate with Artist/Tour Representative to advance product line for upcoming event(s). Develop Merchandise Specialist schedule based on event projections. Oversee inventory count‑in and count‑out procedures. Support successful sales operations at each event by training, mentoring, and motivating Merchandise Specialists team. Ensure merchandise stands always remain clean and presentable and displays meet or exceed expectations. Perform physical duties as required, such as moving equipment or transferring merchandise between locations. Complete all required reports in a timely manner, including pre‑show, post‑show, and payroll reports. Communicate with Venue Management and Regional Merchandise Management team. Foster positive experiences for guests, staff, and other stakeholders, establishing the venue as a safe, enjoyable, and supportive environment. Ensure team compliance with Live Nation policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations. Skills & Qualifications Merchandise Managers must have refined communication and interpersonal skills. Merchandise Managers are detail‑oriented and highly organized. Merchandise Managers are guest‑centric and able to respond to requests and concerns in a professional manner. Merchandise Managers must be team‑driven and possess advanced leadership adeptness with the ability to train and mentor in a positive manner. Merchandise Managers must have basic business proficiency with an understanding of the importance of forecasting and timely reporting. Experience Event merchandising positions desirable. Positions that leverage customer service or hospitality. Prior experience is not as important as the appropriate attitude and interpersonal skills. Job Requirements Must be available for the entire concert day, with shifts as long as 15 hours (with breaks). Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to a 50‑pound box. Must be able to work in outdoor environments in potentially extreme temperatures. Must have a working understanding of touch‑screen based systems. Must be of legal working age in the state.
