Senior Director, Executive Recruiting

Job Description Summary:

The Senior Director, Executive Recruiting will lead and deliver executive-level searches across operating units and corporate functions, serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and bottling partners. This role owns end-to-end executive search execution and plays a critical role in strengthening leadership pipelines and succession outcomes across a complex, multi-market system.

The successful candidate will combine deep executive search expertise with strong commercial judgment, credibility with senior leaders, and the ability to operate confidently in a highly matrixed, partner-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver senior-level executive searches across operating units and corporate functions, from search strategy through offer acceptance and onboarding transition.

• Design and execute robust, insight-driven search strategies that identify, engage, and secure high-impact executive talent globally.

• Serve as a subject-matter expert in executive recruiting, including market mapping and leadership consulting in support of succession planning and leadership pipeline development.

• Advise and influence senior leaders on talent solutions for new, evolving, and strategically critical businesses, categories, and functions.

• Partner closely with hiring leaders to define candidate profiles, calibrate leadership requirements, and align on target markets and talent archetypes.

• Proactively source, engage, assess, and develop executive-level prospects into high-quality candidates.

• Build and maintain deep external talent networks and industry relationships to create sustained access to priority leadership populations.

• Lead client update sessions, search reviews, and finalist debriefs, providing clear market intelligence, risk assessment, and hiring recommendations.

• Conduct rigorous candidate assessment, due diligence, and reference checking for shortlisted executives.

• Develop and present offer proposals and lead complex offer negotiations through to successful closure.

• Contribute to the executive recruiting knowledge base by sharing market intelligence, industry trends, competitive insights, and emerging leadership c capabilities.

• Deliver a consistently high-quality experience for both candidates and senior stakeholders.

• Communicate complex perspectives and recommendations clearly and persuasively with senior executives.

• Build credibility quickly with internal leaders and external bottling partners, maintaining appropriate process discipline while adapting to business and market realities when required.

• Act as a true thought partner to executive leadership on leadership strategy, not only on individual searches.

• Prepare and deliver high quality candidate update reports, market intelligence briefs, and search progress documentation for senior leaders, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and timely insight throughout each engagement.

Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated experience leading executive searches within an in-house executive recruiting function and/or a leading executive search firm.

• Proven ability to manage the full executive search lifecycle, including market research, candidate development, senior-level assessment, offer structuring, and negotiation.

• Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate and influence effectively with senior leaders, boards, and external partners.

• Highly developed stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trusted relationships that drive timely and high-quality hiring outcomes.

• Demonstrated capability to influence at key decision points in the search process, including candidate profiles, target markets and companies, shortlist composition, and offer strategy.

• Strong judgment, problem-solving capability, and the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving, and highly confidential environments.

• High level of discretion, professionalism, and ethical standards.

• Strong understanding of executive labor markets, competitive talent dynamics, and the implications of market trends on search strategy.

• Solid business and financial acumen, including an understanding of business performance drivers and how executive talent impacts enterprise outcomes.

• Experience in consumer goods, retail, and/or technology sectors is strongly preferred.

• Experience operating in complex, multi-market and partner-based business models is a distinct advantage.

• Prepare and deliver high quality candidate update reports, market intelligence briefs, and search progress documentation for senior leaders, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and timely insight throughout each engagement.

• Proven ability to produce polished, accurate, and well structured documentation, including candidate materials, search reports, and executive ready deliverables, maintaining a consistently high standard of quality.

Pay Range:

United States: 170,000 - 193,000 USD

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
