Job Description

The Commercial & Specialized Industries (C&SI) group at JPMorgan Chase serves companies with annual revenue of $20 million to $2 billion, as well as municipalities and not-for-profits. We offer both traditional banking and investment banking products, delivering customized solutions through our nationwide network and global resources. 

As an Analyst in the Commercial & Specialized Industries (C&SI) group, you will join a 2.5-year program designed to give you hands-on experience across banking, treasury, and underwriting, along with strategic project work. You will develop financial and client-facing skills to build your career in financial services, working collaboratively to shape innovative solutions for our clients.

 

How we’re organized: 

Our diversified experience, which exposes you to a variety of teams and functions across the broader C&SI business through two 14-month long rotations 

Our diversified industries experience is organized into five regional groups (Northeast, Midwest, Southwest, Southeast and Pacific) and a variety of industry segments, including, but not limited to, Multinational Corporations, Life Sciences, Government, Healthcare, Higher Education, Not-for-profit, and Technology and Disruptive Commerce. Job Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain transaction-ready financial models (e.g., cash flow, leverage, returns, covenant and sensitivity analyses) to support financing structuring, credit risk assessment, and internal underwriting discussions.

• Create client-facing materials that drive executive-level dialogue —pitch books, case studies, and data-driven narratives covering financing alternatives, working capital optimization, and industry/peer benchmarking for use in client meetings.

• Develop working knowledge of treasury and liquidity solutions by identifying client pain points and mapping them to product opportunities (payments, receivables, liquidity, FX/hedging), supporting clients’ long-term operating and capital planning.

• Partner with deal teams to advance business development strategy , including prospect identification, prioritization, and relationship mapping—helping translate market insights into actionable coverage plans and next-best conversations.

• Build fluency across the full JPMorganChase platform —Commercial Banking, credit, investment banking, markets, and treasury services—so you can connect client objectives to the right capabilities and internal partners.

• Execute rigorous client and prospect research (company strategy, financial performance, industry dynamics, ownership/decision-makers, competitive positioning) to inform call preparation, opportunity qualification, and pipeline development.

 

 

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

 

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree with a Graduation Date of December 2026 – June 2027
• If pursuing a Master’s, it must be 2 years within receiving your Bachelor’s and with a graduation date of December 2026 – June 2027.
• Candidates must be authorized to work permanently in the U.S.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework in business, finance, or accounting a plus
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale is preferred
