Commercial Music Instructor Pool – Part-Time Job Description Faculty may be asked to teach music courses on days, evenings, hybrid/online, and within the dual‑enrollment program. Online/hybrid teaching requires additional campus‑based training. Essential Functions Teach music courses as assigned. Prepare instructional materials and lesson plans. Manage grading, assessment, and student evaluations. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and community outreach. Adhere to campus policies and provide inclusive, equity‑mindful instruction to a diverse student body. Minimum Qualifications Any bachelor’s degree or higher AND two years of professional experience directly related to the teaching assignment. OR an associate degree AND six years of professional experience directly related to the teaching assignment. OR a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college within the appropriate subject area. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion, with sensitivity to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students. Desirable Qualifications Experience supporting historically underrepresented, non‑traditional, multilingual, and students with learning disabilities.
