Make a meaningful impact as a Mental Health Specialist supporting students in educational settings near Oxford, MI. This contract opportunity offers roles at both elementary and high school levels, where your expertise will provide vital social-emotional guidance and help shape positive school environments.

In this role, you’ll work directly with general education students—individually and in groups—to provide tailored social-emotional support. You’ll also collaborate with classrooms and staff, contributing to professional learning initiatives and the implementation of positive behavior programs. Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree is required—no Bachelor’s degrees will be considered.
• One of the following Michigan credentials or licenses:
  • Licensed master’s level psychologist or limited license under supervision
  • MDE credentialed master’s level school psychologist
  • Licensed master’s level social worker or limited license under supervision
  • Licensed master’s level school social worker
  • Licensed master’s level marriage and family therapist
  • Licensed master’s level professional counselor or limited license under supervision
  • Valid School Counselor License (SCL), Michigan teaching certificate with School Counselor (NT) endorsement, Preliminary School Counselor Credential (PSCC), or Temporary School Counselor License (TSCL) with a pathway to counselor licensure within 24 months
• Current LARA license is required

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social-emotional support and interventions for general education students
• Support classroom and building-wide activities, including professional learning and positive behavior program implementation
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop student support strategies
