Job Description
We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and motivated Full-Time Medical Assistant to join our busy podiatry practice. If you enjoy working with patients, thrive in a fast-paced medical environment, and take pride in providing exceptional care, we'd love to meet you!
Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain vital signs and medical history
- Assist the physician with examinations and in-office procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Apply and remove dressings, assist with wound care, and provide patient education
- Perform EMR documentation accurately and efficiently
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient follow-up
- Verify medications and update patient records
- Maintain inventory and stock exam rooms
- Follow OSHA and HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required
- Previous experience in a medical office preferred (podiatry, orthopedic, or surgical experience is a plus)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR - eCW)
- Reliable, professional, and compassionate with patients
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday–Friday
- Day shift
- Possible 1 Saturday a month
