Certified Physician Assistant Opportunity

Seeking a certified Physician Assistant who is proficient with first assisting in CABG, AVR, MVR, and thoracotomy/lung resection cases. Job duties include OR duties as well as telemetry and ICU duties. Call duties include 1-2 call days a week, one weekend a month beginning 7 am Friday - 7 am Monday. Weekend duties include inpatient rounds, procedures, and surgery duties.

Rate Caps for Submission (Strictly Follow):

• Malpractice – Must be included in rates.
• Orientation – $137.50-142.50 - half the hourly/callback rate, kicks in after 8 hours. "Per hour of orientation or training beyond 8 hours"
• On Call (Daily) – $1,700-$2,000 - "Per 24 hours to include 4 hours gratis"
• 24 Hour Holiday Call Rate - $2,550-3000 - "Per 24 hours to include 4 hours gratis"
• Call Back – $275-$285 – "Per hour of patient contact hours, after gratis hours are completed, gratis prorate to MSA terms."
• Holiday Call Back – $412.50-427.50 – "Per holiday hour of patient contact hours, after gratis hours are completed, gratis prorate to MSA terms."

Schedule/Availability Requirements:

• Schedule: one weekend a month, call is 7 am - 7 am.
• Ongoing vacation/PTO Dates: May 31- June 13 2026, June 6-8 specifically is critical, July 20-26. Ongoing dates for the foreseeable future.
• Facility Location: Saint Joseph Hospital. Lexington, KY
• Setting: Inpatient/OR
• Duties: surgical CT, vein harvest, chest tube placement, FTE: PRN
• EMR: Epic
• Support Staff: none needed. Support for surgeons

Reason for Coverage: Down a physician assistant and need help with coverage while we aggressively recruit for an additional FTE.

Deal Breakers: no KY state license, unable to do procedures, malpractice issues.

Travel Preferences:

• Preferred Lodging: The Campbell House (using SJH discounted rate), Tru by Hilton University Medical, and Candlewood Suites Lexington - Medical District
• Air Travel: Preference for local
• Please detail any anticipated travel exceptions, for example a dietary restriction necessitating specific lodging situations. Travel exception requests will be denied if this information is not part of the provider presentation. Please also indicate the city where provider will be traveling from in the travel section of the provider submission.

Credentialing Information:

• Timeframe: 90-110 days
• Requirements: Must be able to be credentialed at Saint Joseph Hospital. Credentialing with other facilities? N/A
