Talent Acquisition Specialist

We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join a construction and contractor organization in Appleton, Wisconsin on a contract basis with the potential for a long-term opportunity. This role focuses on identifying, engaging, and recruiting talent for field and office roles while supporting broader workforce initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong recruiting judgment, sourcing creativity, and the ability to build relationships with candidates, hiring leaders, and community partners.Responsibilities:• Manage the full recruitment cycle for assigned openings, from sourcing and initial outreach through interviews, selection, and offer coordination.• Review applicant backgrounds, assess fit for open roles, and present strong candidates to hiring managers with informed recommendations.• Conduct interviews for both immediate vacancies and pipeline opportunities across field and office functions.• Build talent pipelines using online sourcing tools, industry networks, referrals, external partners, and other recruiting channels.• Support candidate processing and onboarding activities, including employment documentation and new employee paperwork as needed.• Represent the organization at recruitment events, school presentations, and community outreach activities to strengthen employer visibility and attract future talent.• Maintain ongoing partnerships with high schools, technical schools, and industry associations to expand recruiting reach.• Participate in staffing meetings and collaborate with internal teams on talent and workforce management initiatives.• Stay informed on employment laws, recruiting best practices, and market trends to support compliant and effective hiring decisions.
