The Senior Accountant will take a significant role in shaping and optimizing the company's fixed asset processes. This role focuses on maintaining accurate asset records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic insights into asset management and capital expenditures. Here's a video about the people behind Starkey's groundbreaking innovation: Responsibilities/ResultsOversee and maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring the accurate recording of acquisitions, disposals, and transfers.Calculate, record, and monitor fixed asset depreciation and amortization schedules in accordance with accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP, IFRS, IRC, other government governance).Conduct regular reconciliations of fixed asset accounts with the general ledger to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.Lead the preparation of detailed fixed asset reports for financial statement disclosures, budgeting, and forecasting.Collaborate with other departments to track and validate physical assets, ensuring alignment between financial records and physical inventory.Analyze and report on capital expenditures, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and process improvements.Manage compliance with regulatory requirements related to fixed assets, including tax reporting and audits.Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors regarding fixed asset-related inquiries and documentation.Act as primary point of contact for tax team regarding fixed assetsDevelop and implement policies and procedures to enhance fixed asset accounting and reporting processes.Stay current with changes in accounting regulations and best practices, ensuring the company remains compliant and adopts efficient methods.Other duties as assigned.Job RequirementsMinimum Education, Certification and Experience RequirementsEducationBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or related fieldExperience5 years accounting experienceKnowledge / Technical RequirementsStrong experience with ERP systems and fixed asset modulesPrior experience in a multi-entity organizational structure (preferred)Excelled computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as the ability to use email and internetCompetencies, Skills & AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to follow complex verbal and written instructionsAdvanced knowledge of accounting standardsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsSalary and Other CompensationThe target pay range for this position is between $75,460 - $102,900 / year.
