Psychiatrist (Part Time)

We are seeking a Part-Time Psychiatrist to provide expert medical oversight in a behavioral healthcare setting dedicated to addiction and mental health treatment. Key Responsibilities Include Providing high-quality medical care, including detoxification protocols, medication assessment, withdrawal management, and Medication Assisted Therapy. Overseeing and leading the medical staff, collaborating with nursing and clinical teams. Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as Joint Commission and ASAM criteria. Documenting clinical decisions accurately using electronic health records and supporting quality assurance efforts. Supporting medical staff development, conducting chart reviews, and participating in performance improvement initiatives. Handling on-call duties, providing emergency support, and maintaining effective staffing patterns. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans and policies. Qualifications Include Graduation from an accredited medical school and licensure as an MD or DO in the appropriate state. Board certification in Psychiatry, with addiction medicine certification preferred. At least 3 years of supervisory experience and familiarity with healthcare standards and accreditation requirements. Experience in addiction medicine, DEA certification for controlled substances, and training in Buprenorphine prescribing. Strong communication skills and proficiency in quality improvement processes.
