Legal Billing Specialist

Our client is a leading law firm in Oakland County, and they are looking to add a diligent Billing Specialist to the team!

In the role, the Legal Billing Specialist will:

* Prepare, review, and process client invoices in accordance with company policies and client-specific billing guidelines.

* Collaborate with staff to ensure billing accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

* Monitor billing cycles and ensure timely submission of invoices, including electronic billing through various platforms.

* Maintain billing records and update client matter information.

* Respond to billing inquiries, providing prompt and professional support.

* Generate billing reports and support internal audits and financial reviews.

* Ensure compliance with client billing requirements and firm standards.

Qualifications

* Minimum of 2 years of billing experience in a law firm or professional services environment.

* Proficiency with legal billing software, preferably Elite 3E.

* Strong Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with other Office applications.

* Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* High level of discretion in handling sensitive financial and client information.

* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
