Position: Supervisor Scalehouse - Hog

Location: Columbus Junction, IA

Salary: USD $60,000/yr – $65,000/yr + Benefits + Relocation Assistance

Direct Hire - Full Time

Job Description:

We are currently hiring for a Hog Procurement Trainee position for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or a livestock production background.

Role Responsibilities

• Assist with livestock receiving activities including sorting, weighing, counting, and identification.
• Train alongside experienced hog buyers in the field.
• Learn hog procurement programs, carcass merit, harvest sheet information, and other buying procedures.
• Support scheduling and coordination of livestock deliveries.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or related livestrock background required.
• Livestock experience is preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge and strong communication skills required.
• Must be detail-oriented and open to overnight travel when needed.
