To fulfill our purpose of strengthening community for all, GSCY is committed to being an inclusive organization and leveraging our collective impact to address social inequities.Responsibilities:Demonstrates, instructs, and monitors clientele's use of cardio, strength, and flexibility equipment to ensure safetyActively role models and assists all YMCA members with safe use of equipment and workout tips to encourage new sales of personal training packagesPromotes and sells personal training packages and consistently seeks to grow their clientele baseCompletes all administrative requirements associated with each client's fitness plan including the electronic logging and reconciliation of training packages in our system Appointment King (will train)Renews personal training certification regularly, seeks to remain relevant in training programs, and maintains a personal fitness brand that role models full body wellnessEnsures all members feel competent, welcomed, included, and connected by providing superior member serviceAssesses clientele goals, medical history, and current fitness status and self develops relevant training programs that help clients reach their unique goals that you help them set.This job is fully on-site, not remote.Requirements:High School Diploma or Equivalent (formal education in Exercise Science, Sports Medicine, or Kinesiology preferred)Must actively workout and maintain your own fitness programCertified Personal Trainer (NASM, ACE, ISSA, NCSF, etc.)CPR/FA/AED Certified or able to get certified within 90 days of hireBenefits of working part-time at GSCY include:FREE Individual Membership Access to any YMCA in the Nation.10% Discount on most programming at Greater Somerset County YMCA.Access to one of the leading retirement programs "Y Retirement Fund" from the first day of employment.Opportunities for professional development, mentoring, growth, and promotion throughout the YMCA Movement.Supportive and inclusive community for people of all backgrounds and access to Employee Resource Networks.Greater Somerset County YMCA is a drug free work environment.
