Job Title: MECHANICAL ENGINEER Location: Pontiac, Illinois On-Site Full Time Daily Schedule (including any anticipated weekly/monthly OT) M-F, 7:30-4:00 Duration: 12 months Position’s Contributions to Work Group: Product Development (NPI) Creo modeling Print detailing FMEA DVP&R APQP Analysis coordination Supplier CPPD Tolerance stack-up, o-ring calculations, bolted joint analysis Reason/motivation for request: Backfill Typical task breakdown: Design, product development,andproblem-solving meetings with suppliers, internal manufacturing, assembly and test teams Coordinate and conduct measurement, assembly and test planning Disassemble injectors, inspect, measure components after test, and compare results to pre-test condition Update engineering technical drawings and coordinate production releasing Provide routine progress updates to senior management Interaction with team: Daily in-person and virtual interactions with complete team Team Structure Five engineers and one test technician report to work director/manager Work environment: Desk location in office (40-50%) Test lab& factory(50-60%) Education & Experience Required: Years of experience:2-4 years Degree requirement:BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field Do you accept internships as job experience: Yes, if in a technical field and at least 3 months in duration Are there past or additional job titles or roles that would provide comparable background to this role: N/A Top 3 Skills Structured problem-solvingexperience / familiarity (8D or similar) Excellent communication skills - written and verbal Close attention to detail, curious,drives to physics-based understanding of the ‘why’ for root cause(s) of issues and component observations Additional Technical Skills (Required) 3D modeling and engineering drawing detailing experience Additional Technical Skills (Desired) Comfortable working with hand tools, lab equipment (microscope, measurement equipment) Familiar with Design FMEA, validation planning and reporting (DVP&R) Experience with *** engineering systems is a plus (TeaCliententer, PRWB, Creo) Soft Skills (Required) Close attention to detail Organization Analytical thinking Effective communication of technical information - written & verbal Managing multiple priorities #J-18808-Ljbffr
