Oncology Infusion RN

The oncology infusion registered nurse is a member of the cancer care team. This position involves working in the infusion area. The role focuses on delivering professional oncology nursing care. Nurses ensure adherence to cancer care policies and nursing procedures. Responsibilities include assessment of health history. The RN will address physician orders and perform in-office procedures. Patient and family education is a key component of this role. Chemotherapy administration is a fundamental duty. The oncology nurse will manage cancer symptoms and monitor patients. Frequent visits will assess both physical state and emotional well-being. The RN acts as the primary conduit of communication with patients. The position entails relaying patient information and feedback to physicians. Direct nursing care is provided, including the triage of patient care needs. The oncology registered nurse applies clinical knowledge and judgment. Decision-making skills are essential to analyze and act on patient care issues. Additional duties may be assigned by the Cancer Care Senior Leader.
