We are currently seeking a dependable Environmental Services Attendant to join our team in Morristown, TN. This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining facilities in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. The Environmental Services Attendant may work in commercial facilities, healthcare environments, schools, universities, or other client locations depending on business needs.

This is a Monday-Friday position working 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM. Schedule may vary based on business needs.

This is a temp-to-hire opportunity.

Essential Responsibilities

- Clean restrooms, hallways, offices, food service areas, and other assigned locations.

- Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, and polish floors.

- Clean ceilings, vents, walls, windows, furniture, light fixtures, and other surfaces.

- Empty trash and garbage containers.

- Replenish paper products, soap, and other supplies.

- Safely use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer and company standards.

- Operate custodial equipment, including carpet cleaning and floor care equipment when assigned.

- Change linens when required.

- Move furniture and assist with room setups.

- Perform minor equipment maintenance and report major repair needs.

- Follow all OSHA, company safety, and risk management policies.

- Participate in required safety meetings and training.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.

- No previous experience required.

- Ability to learn established cleaning techniques and procedures.

- Strong attention to detail.

- Positive attitude and professional demeanor.

- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and customers.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Basic computer and phone skills (email, texting, etc.).

- Knowledge of OSHA safety practices or willingness to learn.

- Bloodborne Pathogen Training certification required.

Physical Requirements

- Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.

- Frequently bend, reach, stoop, push, and pull.

- Frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.

- Work safely around cleaning chemicals and custodial equipment.
