Job Description

Job Summary:
Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer provides diagnostic echocardiography and vascular ultrasound testing for patients across a wide age range, including high-acuity cases. This role supports timely, high-quality imaging in a fast-paced environment where accurate results directly impact clinical decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Perform echocardiography and vascular ultrasound examinations using established protocols.
• Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures and verify appropriate documentation and orders.
• Capture high-quality images and optimize settings to support reliable interpretations.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment cleanliness and readiness according to safety standards.
• Support workflow for stat exams while adhering to infection control and patient safety practices.
• Communicate effectively with care teams to coordinate urgent imaging needs.

Qualifications:

• Hold ARDMS or ARRT credentials appropriate for echo/ultrasound practice.
• Maintain current certification or registry in Adult Echo.
• Maintain current certification or registry in vascular ultrasound.
• Complete at least 2 years of experience in echocardiology or an accredited echo-cardiology training course.
• Demonstrate readiness to work toward additional registries/accreditations as required.
• Maintain BLS certification.
