Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12hr Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 2 years ED experience preferred License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI; TNCC preferred Description: This position requires a highly skilled Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. The facility is a teaching hospital with a Trauma Level III designation. Common patient types include trauma cases, cardiac conditions, strokes, and various medical emergencies. The typical patient ratio is 1:5, dependent on acuity, and there is support from nursing assistants and other healthcare staff. Required skills include trauma experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and critical care management. Floating to other facilities may be required based on regional needs. Travelers are expected to work every other weekend and a majority of holidays. Up to 6 days off may be approved, excluding holidays, with any needed extensions to the contract. Scrub color is navy. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Emergency Department nurses seeking a challenging role.
