This role plays a critical part in minimizing downtime, maintaining production flow, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Senior-level technicians may also provide guidance and support to junior maintenance team membersKey Responsibilities:Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment, plant machinery, tools, and facility systemsTroubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to minimize equipment downtimeInspect, test, and diagnose equipment malfunctions using manuals, schematics, and diagnostic toolsFabricate, weld, and modify components as needed to support equipment repairs and improvementsMaintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection records, and parts inventory documentationMonitor maintenance supplies and request replacement parts as neededAssist with installation, relocation, upgrades, or decommissioning of plant equipmentSupport continuous improvement projects related to equipment performance, layout changes, and efficiencyFollow all safety requirements, including OSHA standards and lockout/tagout proceduresTrain or assist in training new maintenance employees on proper procedures, as applicablePerform other maintenance-related duties as assignedHigh school diploma or equivalent5–7 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environmentAbility to read blueprints and technical schematicsStrong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsBasic computer skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentPreferred Qualifications:Experience with CNC machines or robotic systemsPLC troubleshooting and basic programming knowledgeWelding, fabrication, and machining experienceERP or CMMS system experienceAutomotive accessories or truck cap manufacturing experiencePhysical Demands:Frequent standing and walkingOccasional bending and kneelingManual material handling and lifting of partsRegular use of computer screens and machine control stationsWorking Conditions:Frequent work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with seasonal temperature changesConsiderable exposure to production noise levels from manufacturing equipmentRSI Group (SmartCap) is an equal opportunity employer, with highly competitive pay and benefits, training and development opportunities, and a welcoming and innovative culture. #J-18808-Ljbffr RSI North America Inc
