Radiation Therapist

Job Summary:


We seek a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse with specialities in Medical/Surgical, ICU, ER, Psychiatric, Labor & Delivery, PACU, Operating Room. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing skilled nursing care, case management, and hospice care to individuals facing advancing age, frailty, and serious illness. Daily tasks include patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. Critical to this role is strong communication and strong collaboration with patients, providers, and other members of our team. At least 2 years of experience and exceptional skill is required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients in various specialties including Medical/Surgical, ICU, ER, Psychiatric, Labor & Delivery, PACU, and Operating Room.
• Conduct patient assessments and administer medications as prescribed.
• Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Manage case coordination and provide hospice care for patients with serious illnesses.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of employment.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in hospital, home health, or hospice care settings.
• Proficient in clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning.
• Strong interdisciplinary team collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Valid driver's license, car insurance, and reliable automobile for fieldwork.
• BLS certification.
• ARRT certification (implied by Radiology/Cardiology role).

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in Radiology or Cardiology departments.
• Familiarity with Epic charting system.
• Ability to float between units as needed.

Special Considerations:

• Floating between units may be required.
• Block scheduling accommodations available at manager discretion.
• First-time professionals accepted.
• RTO (Return to Office) policies must be included at time of submission.
• Facility allows one call-off per two-week pay period.
• Work environment includes acute care hospital with 150 staffed beds.

Scheduling:

• Schedules and shifts determined by management with flexibility for block scheduling.
• Shift types may vary depending on unit assignment and patient care needs.
