Loadsfinished units onto trucksin asafe,timelyand efficient manner. Collectsandreturnsskates toproperlocation. Keepsthe yardorderly,neat,cleanandfree of debris. Assist Shipping Supervisor with clerical duties when needed. Bringsunits back intobuildingif needed. Assists Receiving/Warehousein unloading sheet metal from trucks. Communicates effectively and efficiently withinternal and external customers and suppliers. Assistswith YearEnd Inventory tasks as needed. Safelyoperatesvarious pieces of warehouse/yardequipment (Forklifts etc.) Activelyparticipateas a member of the team to move the team towards completion of goals. Takesthe initiative to find,identifyand propose changes toprocessesnot working well. Followsall existing company policies and procedures. Performsadditionalduties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrates the ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions and solve problemsimmediately. Exhibits a service oriented and acustomer focusedattitude in performing daily functions. Shows the ability to work well under pressure, suchas when multiple trucks are onsite. Possesses effective written and verbal communication skills; displays reading comprehension skills. Exhibits the ability to work well with others andmaintainorganization between cross-related departments. Qualifications GED or High School Diploma. Minimum three years’ experience driving 6,000 lbs. or heavier forklifts. 1 – 2 years’ experience operating straddle lifters preferred. Proficient understanding of basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide) Ability to work independently, multi-task, and communicate effectively. Possessa strong teamspirit. Ability to be flexible to adaptto changing priorities and meetdeadlines. Capable of lifting/moving boxes weighing 50lbs or less. Must pass backgroundcheck and drugtest. DOT medical exam required to operate company vehicles. Able to adapt to all weather conditions. Able to work overtime ad hoc (due to late trucks/weatherdelays).
