The Clerk of the Circuit Court with Loudoun County Government is seeking qualified applicants for a Historic Records Clerk position within the Historic Records and Deed Research Division.
The duties of the position include but are not limited to:
- Conservation, scanning and indexing of archival records
- Updating and maintaining the Historic Records and Deed Research Division website
- Assists with educational public outreach programs, events and newsletters
The successful candidate must possess knowledge and skills in the following areas:
- Development and implementation of technology initiatives
- Excellent business writing skills
- Digital scanning technologies and web-based systems
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with associates, state and local agencies, legal professionals and the general public
This is a customer focused position and must have the ability to share and receive relevant information, with regards to the Historic Records and Deed Research Division, to ensure clear communication and interpretation based on the client's needs.
Job Requirements
Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and two (2) years of administrative experience in court, government, or business environment.
Previous experience with file management systems, scanning technologies and document conservation is preferred.
Special Requirements
Must have the ability to lift up to 20 pounds and maintain office machines.
