Position Summary This position works closely with the product team and underwriting departments to provide legal support and advice on product‑related matters, and draft and review insurance policies, endorsements, and other product forms. Job duties include, but are not limited to the following: Work daily with underwriters on coverage issues and policy wording questions; provide advice and research various product‑related topics; Review competitor products and monitor changes to market and coverage; Review policy wording and draft proposed endorsements both on an account‑specific and general use basis; Draft new products and assist with implementation of new products internally; Assist with state product filings, including responses to state insurance departments; Consult and collaborate with Operations, Claims Department and Actuarial Department on product terms and features; Familiarity with commercial lines products preferred, including General Liability (ISO Products); Private, Public and Not‑For‑Profit Management Liability; Miscellaneous Professional Liability; Cyber/Privacy Liability; Environmental Liability; Public Entities; and Healthcare Professional and Management Liability. Education/Experience JD degree required 10+ years of practicing legal experience 5+ years of insurance experience, including drafting and reviewing insurance policies and forms 2+ years of admitted policy filing experience a plus Excellent legal drafting and analytical abilities Excellent written and oral communication skills Compensation $125k-$225k (based on experience) + Bonus #J-18808-Ljbffr Bowhead Specialty
