Job DescriptionDiagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO)Location- Oklahoma City, OKHours- 8am-5pm, occasional evening and night shiftsEssential Functions:Report to work on time and prepared for each scheduled shiftPerform all assigned duties and processes, including tasks for which you are fully qualified and those within your demonstrated capabilitiesMaintain a positive, professional, and supportive attitude throughout the workdayWork collaboratively as a team member and contribute to a respectful, productive work environmentResponsibilitiesEssential Functions:Report on time and prepared for each scheduled shiftPerform all assigned duties and processes, including tasks for which you are fully qualified and those within your demonstrated capabilitiesMaintain a positive, professional, and supportive attitude throughout the workdayWork collaboratively as a team member and contribute to a respectful, productive work environmentPerform microscopic examination of gynecologic and non-gynecologic slides for abnormal cellular changes.Responsible for referring appropriate cases for hierarchical review.Perform all duties in accordance with state and federal regulations.Maintains appropriate workload and quality assurance records. Provide backup for cytology processing and other tasks as needed.QualificationsRequired Knowledge:Liquid-based morphology certification: ThinPrep, TIS Review Scope, Surepath, and Focal Point.A Hologic Genius certification is highly desirable for this position, although not required.Must be able to provide certificates upon request.Required Experience:Meet CLIA requirements (CFR.493.1483).Meet state licensure requirements, if applicable.Meet ASCP requirements for CytotechnologistGraduated from an accredited Cytology programSpecial Requirements:Bachelor's degree in biological scienceCompletion of a Cytology programASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) CertificationMust be willing to work extra days/weekends as dictated by business need.Must be able to sit for long periods of time as there is minimal job rotation with this position.Physical and Mental Requirements:The normal performance of duties may require lifting and carrying objects: Objects 1 to 10 pounds are lifted and carried frequently; objects 11 to 25 pounds are lifted and carried occasionally; objects 36 to 50 pounds are seldom lifted or carried and objects over 50 pounds are not to be lifted or carried without assistance.Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.May be required to use a wide variety of manual and automated pipettes and laboratory instruments and apparatuses all of which demand significant manual dexterity.About the TeamQuest Diagnostics honors our service members and encourages veterans to apply.
