Endoscopy

Level 3 RN Endoscopy

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 8 PM; on-call required for overnights and weekends.

Assignment Details: 17-week contract.

Requirements:

• New York RN License
• BLS Certification (AHA Only)
• ACLS Certification (AHA Only)
• 2 years of previous endoscopy procedure experience
• Telemetry monitoring and rhythm identification
• Conscious sedation experience
• Expert IV insertion skills
• Experience recovering patients from general anesthesia
• Experience performing intake for GI procedures

Responsibilities:

• Answer patient questions and address concerns.
• Observe patient vital signs.
• Sedate patients before procedures and recover them after procedures.
• Administer necessary medications and complete all required documentation.
• Prepare instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
• Clean and sterilize equipment before use.
• Assist doctors throughout procedures.
• Administer IV drips as needed.
