Safety Coordinator

A bachelor’s degree in safety or a related field or equivalent experience is preferred. At least 2-3 years of experience in construction safety, preferably in industrial or power plant settings. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, concise feedback to contractors and workers. Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities, strong time management, and organizational skills. Competent in use of standard software packages. (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Strong organizational skills with a focus on fieldwork rather than office tasks. Additional Skills Preferably OSHA 500 or CHST First Aid/CPR certification Daily Responsibilities A client is seeking a Construction Safety Coordinator will primarily be responsible for ensuring a safe work environment at a Power Plant's construction site. The role involves actively working in the field, observing contractors, identifying and correcting safety hazards, and supporting the implementation of safety procedures. This individual will be part of a team and work closely with another safety professional who will handle the majority of the paperwork and reporting tasks.
