To learn more visit:POSITION SUMMARYSEPS is looking for a talented and motivated Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team in building and enhancing internal applications that drive the Sony Engagement Platform. In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering secure, scalable, and user-centric solutions that support Sony’s global business units.As a Senior Engineer, you’ll contribute to both front-end and back-end development efforts, helping to design and implement high-quality software systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, UX designers, and fellow engineers to bring innovative features to life. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex problems, take ownership of their work, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Architect, design and develop RESTful API Endpoints, ensuring high performance, scalability and maintainability.Collaborate closely with front-end engineers to build dynamic, responsive, and user-centric web applications that deliver seamless user experiences.Define robust data models and database schemas, and manage relational or NoSQL databases with a strong emphasis on data integrity and performance optimization.Create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for application architecture, design, configuration, and ongoing maintenance.Provide accurate task estimations and delivery timelines, contributing to effective sprint planning and execution.Participate in the on-call rotation, responding promptly to production issues and ensuring system stability and uptime.Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.Honesty, trustworthiness and ethical conduct are material requirements for the responsibilities outlined aboveQUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION Your qualifications and experience should include:  5+ years professional experience working with medium/large complex code basesExperience in Full Stack developmentExperience with one or more of the following programming languages: Java, Go, or PythonExperience in REST API design and implementationHighly Proficient in HTML, CSS, the JavaScript ecosystem and familiarity with popular frameworks like React, Angular, Ember, Jest, Babel, and TypeScriptKnowledgeable in UI/UX design principlesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsDesire to collaborate and to develop strong and positive team relationshipsAttention to detail, organizational skills, a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or at least three years of proven experience in lieu of a degreeDemonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.Database management, cloud technologies (AWS), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)Knowledge of React best practicesFamiliarity with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelinesAutomated deployment tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins)Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailExperience with Agile development methodologies such as SAFe, ScrumExperience developing software solutions that support e-commerce, digital commerce, or direct-to-consumer (DTC) platformsExposure to personalization, recommendation engines, customer identity management, subscription services, or digital payment platforms is a plus.Knowledge of APIs, microservices, cloud-native architectures, and integrations commonly used in e-commerce ecosystems.In addition to competitive pay and benefits, we offer an environment and culture that promotes Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for.
