Sanitation

Klondike Cheese Company is looking for multiple individuals to join our Sanitation team. $1,000 sign on bonus! Shift: 10:00 pm-6:00 am until done (typically 8-9 hour shift), Monday-Friday plus every other Saturday 9:00 pm until done. Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour with an additional $3.00 3rd shift premium; will pay more for experienced workers. Responsibilities Utilize detergents, sanitizers, brushes and high-pressure hose to clean production equipment and rooms in assigned area. Measure, weigh, or mix cleaning solutions, using measuring tanks, calibrated rods or suction tubes. Observe machine operations, gauges, or thermometers, and adjust controls to maintain specified conditions. Set controls to regulate temperature and length of cycles, and start conveyors, pumps, agitators, and machines. Drain, clean, and refill machines or tanks at designated intervals, using cleaning solutions or water. Perform varying tasks while standing, lifting, and crouching during long periods of time. Work in an environment that is wet, humid, and warm. Communicate and work effectively with other Sanitation personnel and Supervisor. Adhere to Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and HACCP pre-requisite programs, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedure (SSOP) guidelines or Federal regulations. Frequently lift/move hoses and related equipment throughout every work shift. Exposure to and use of chemical cleaning solutions (with protective gear). Assist in the operation of production lines as needed, including operating or tending machines. Other related additional duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager, which may include assisting with packaging duties. Qualifications Cheese/food industry experience is preferred but not required. Must be willing to work overtime as needed. A good attendance record is required. Candidate must be a team player. Employees are required to stand the duration of the shift, with frequent and repetitive bending, stooping, turning, reaching, grasping and lifting up to 50 pounds.
