Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7a-7p Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have Skills/Experience: Patient assessment and identification of patient needs. Identification and initiation of appropriate nursing interventions. Provision of care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient. Timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record. Description: This is a position in the Emergency Department. The department consists of 16 beds. Typically, the patient ratio is 5:1 but can expand to a full bed capacity. Equipment used includes EKG, Ultrasound, LUCAS, EZ-IO, Omnicell, stretchers, and wheelchairs. The Electronic Health Record system utilized is MediTech. The patient population consists of geriatric, adult, pediatrics, and obstetrics. Weekend hours are required every other weekend. There are no call requirements for this position. The dress code allows for any solid color scrub top and scrub pants. Unacceptable attire includes ill-fitting scrubs, low-cut or mid-drift revealing clothing, see-through materials, hoodies, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and spandex. Candidate must demonstrate a strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment and possess effective communication skills. This position requires flexibility to potentially float and sit 1:1 with a patient as needed.
