Desktop Support Analyst

Robert Half is seeking a Contract Desktop Support Analyst to join our client's dynamic IT team. As a Contract Desktop Support Analyst, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support and assistance to end-users, ensuring smooth and efficient operation of desktop systems and software applications. This is a contract position, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a well-established and respected organization.Key Responsibilities:Technical Support: Provide first-level technical support to end-users, responding to inquiries, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, and escalating more complex problems to the appropriate team.Desktop Management: Install, configure, and maintain desktop systems, including operating systems, software applications, and hardware components.Hardware Maintenance: Perform hardware troubleshooting and maintenance, including but not limited to desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.Software Support: Assist users with software-related issues, such as troubleshooting software applications, assisting with installations, and providing guidance on software usage.User Training: Conduct user training sessions to enhance end-users' knowledge of software and hardware usage, best practices, and security protocols.Documentation: Maintain detailed records of support requests, resolutions, and inventory management to track and report on issues, solutions, and asset management.Security: Assist in implementing and enforcing security policies, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of data.Collaboration: Collaborate with IT team members, both on-site and remotely, to resolve complex technical issues and contribute to ongoing IT projects.End-User Satisfaction: Continuously strive to enhance the end-user experience by providing excellent customer service and support.
